Kia Motors Slovakia has set the following long-term environmental goals:
Kia Motors uses state-of-the-art technologies and the most modern processes in production. All production shops have implemented the system of waste management and ensured proper separation and disposal of waste. Mostly water-based paints with low content of volatile organic compounds (VOC) are used in the paint shop. All industrial waste water from the production plant is treated in the waste water treatment plant (WWTP) at physical and chemical levels (WWTP I and WWTP II). The biological purification is further performed at the city WWTP Hricov.
The company focuses on the development and production of vehicles that are environmentally friendly, which is demonstrated with certification of models produced at the plant with the following: LCA - Life Cycle Assessment based on ISO 14040 and Integrating environmental aspects into product design and development based on ISO 14062.
