New Kia Soul

On October 2, 2008, the world premiere of new Kia Soul will be held at Paris Motor Show and its production will start from November 2008. This version will arrive on our market in February 2009.

In Europe, the Kia Soul, will be marketed globally with a choice of two highly efficient 1.6L engines. Both the four cylinder petrol and diesel power units are based closely on the 16-valve DOHC (Double Over Head Camshaft) engines fitted to Kia cee’d. This new model, which will be available exclusively as a five-door hatchback with front-wheel drive, will have an overall length of 4,105 mm and a 2,550 mm wheelbase. Its height will be 1,610 mm and width 1,785 mm – excluding rear mirrors.

“However, the all-new Kia Soul is not a replacement for an existing vehicle and is destined to play a unique role within the Kia global product line-up, it can be a bit of a rebel! The Kia Soul defies classification, and its design will encourage customers to form an emotional bond with this exciting new car,” said Gregory Guillaume, leader of Kia’s European design team.
According to Kia management, the new model is ready to revolt against conventions and offers customers throughout the world unlimited possibilities to express their emotions.
